Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in shape before starting personal training?

No. That’s literally what personal training is for. Programs are designed to meet you where you are and progress safely from there—whether you’re brand new, returning after time off, or looking to train smarter.

What happens during a free personal training consultation?

Your consultation is a conversation, not a workout. We’ll discuss your goals, training history, injuries or limitations, schedule, and what you want to get out of training. From there, you’ll receive a clear recommendation on services and next steps.

How often should I train?

Most clients see the best results training 2–3 times per week, depending on goals, schedule, and recovery. We’ll help you determine a realistic plan that fits your life.

What is gym etiquette?

Be respectful of the space and equipment

Wipe down equipment after use

Re-rack weights and return equipment properly

Respect other clients’ time and focus, and keep phone use minimal during sessions

Is personal training beginner-friendly?

Yes. All sessions focus on proper form, strength fundamentals, and gradual progression. You’ll be coached every step of the way in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

What should I bring to a session or class?

Wear comfortable workout clothes, clean indoor shoes, and bring water. Arriving 5–10 minutes early is recommended to allow time to settle in and warm up.

Can I book sessions in advance?

Yes—and it’s encouraged. Booking ahead helps secure your preferred times and supports consistency.

What if I have previous injuries or limitations?

Please share any injuries, conditions, or concerns during your consultation and on your waiver. Training can often be modified safely, and you’ll never be asked to push through pain. If medical clearance is needed, you’ll be advised before starting.

What is the punctuality policy?

Sessions begin and end at their scheduled time. Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to respect the next client’s appointment.
